Greggs Helps BBC Children in Need Raise an Incredible £37.1 Million
People from across the UK have come together once again and raised a truly incredible £37,100,687 for BBC Children in Need.
Greggs is very proud to have played its part in this record-breaking total, raising £802,036 in 2015 and a staggering total of over £7million for BBC Children in Need, since becoming one of its partners in 2007. With the support of the Great British public, we’ve helped change countless lives through our unique fundraising activities, boundless enthusiasm for the cause and of course, our Pudsey and Blush cakes.
Roger Whiteside, Chief Executive Officer at Greggs, said: “Together with our customers who have kindly donated through the purchase of our products, we help to raise vital funds to support the Charity and all of the work it does to help disadvantaged young people throughout the UK. This year was a little different as we played a lead role in BBC Children in Need’s ‘Be a Hero: Put on a Cake Sale’ campaign. As part of this campaign, BBC Children in Need branded cake stands were available to buy exclusively in Greggs shops across the country alongside other branded merchandise and products.
"Ensuring our people, communities and values are at the heart of our business is so very important and our work with BBC Children in Need really helps bring that to life.”
