Good Greggs


We’re delighted to have received a Good Egg Award from Compassion in World Farming in recognition of our commitment to use only free range eggs in our sandwiches.

At Greggs we use more than 6 million eggs a year in our delicious freshly prepared sandwiches, and all the eggs in our egg mayonnaise sandwiches and the sliced hard boiled eggs customers enjoy in their ham salad sandwiches, will be free range before the end of 2014.  

Compassion has run its flagship scheme, the Good Egg Award, since 2007 to celebrate organisations that source only cage-free eggs.  Our move to source free-range eggs for our sandwiches is consistent with our ethical standards, where we continually strive to improve animal welfare standards across our operation.
