We share our success with the people around us…

…because we want to return their loyalty.

Whether it's donating unsold food to good causes, supporting the Greggs Foundation, or supporting other charities, we do as much as we can to share our success with the people around us.

Greggs Foundation

We donate one per cent of our pre-tax profits to the Greggs Foundation and in 2016 this helped them distribute over £2.8 million to community and charity organisations across the UK.

A significant proportion of the Greggs Foundation's impact is also achieved through the generosity of Greggs employees and customers - in 2016, £613,000 was raised for the Foundation.  In 2017, the Greggs Foundation celebrated its 30th birthday, and in that time, it has given over £23 million to support the local communities in which we serve.  Learn more about the Greggs Foundation and all the great work they are doing to make a positive impact on people’s lives.

Working with others

The Greggs Foundation isn’t the only charity we support. We also fundraise for a number of other charities which our people and customers feel passionate about, including Children in Need, the Poppy Appeal and the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC).

We are also proud supporters of the North of England Children's Cancer Research charity and are the main sponsor of its annual Children's Cancer Run. To date, the run has raised over £6 million to fund research into improving recovery rates.

Children in Need

In 2016, we celebrated our 10th anniversary supporting Children in Need. During that time, our team members and customers have helped raise over £9 million for the charity - something we are all incredibly proud of!

And, we don’t just fundraise! Every year, we provide a day for each of our management team to volunteer with a charity or community group. We know our people have some fantastic skills and we want others to be able to benefit from them. And of course, we learn lots too!

Unsold Food

At Greggs, we aim to donate as much unsold food to charity as possible, including soup kitchens, food banks, and shelters for the homeless and vulnerable. The amount of unsold food that we have donated to good causes has increased sixteen-fold since 2013, and we have ambitious plans to grow this more in the years ahead.

If you are a good cause which would like to be considered for our food donation programme, please visit the dedicated page on our Foundation website to find out more.
