At Greggs, our people are our priority

That’s why we're proud to have secured NES accreditation with our work to improve diversity and inclusion throughout the business in 2022.

Over the years, we’ve been working hard to ensure our score remains above industry average when benchmarking against other companies in the consumer products and retail industry.

To ensure that our colleagues are at the heart of everything we do, we’ve been developing in the following areas;

  • Establishing a D&I steering Group

  • D&I training for all levels in the business

  • Commissioning independent research into the barriers faced by applicants from ethnic minorities

Securing the National Equality Standard is an exciting milestone under our Greggs Pledge commitment of embracing diversity, and it’s an important step forward in our commitment to ensuring we have a workforce that reflects the communities we serve by 2025.

Diversity and inclusion are central to our values at Greggs, we know that if our colleagues are representative of the communities we serve, then we can better understand our customers to make sure they have a great experience whenever they shop with us.

Our work isn’t over, as a responsible company, we will continue to work hard to embrace diversity and inclusion across our entire business.

Roisin Currie, CEO of Greggs, said: “I am extremely proud of our collective efforts from colleagues across the whole business to achieve this fantastic recognition.”
