We’re delighted to once again be supporting St Oswald’s Hospice by sponsoring a sculpture on their Peter Rabbit™: Tales on the Tyne trail. This marks our third trail working with St Oswalds Hospice. Like Greggs, St Oswald’s Hospice started in Gosforth, Newcastle. Their work across the North East, supporting patients and their families by providing specialist, expert care to children and adults living with life-limiting conditions, optimises ‘doing good’. This value of ‘doing good’ and supporting our local communities has been at the heart of Greggs since the very beginning and we are proud to be able to support their work.

The trail will take place from the 15th July to the 14th September, with sculptures inspired by Beatrix Potter’s Peter Rabbit character ‘hopping up’ across Newcastle and North Tyneside. Maps and an app are available to help you find and tick off every sculpture. Following this, the sculptures will be auctioned off with the proceeds going to St Oswald’s Hospice.

When we saw the fantastic work of Bruce Parker, we loved his ‘Pattern Spotting’  design but we asked if we could get a little Greggs baked in. Greggs and St Oswald’s Hospice are baked into the fabric of the North East and we’re delighted to have our own rabbit  join us for a summer of fun.

The brand-new Peter Rabbit-themed sculpture has popped up outside our Northumberland Street shop and we’re loving his new look.

Like our 96 layers of golden, flaky pastry… our sculpture also has satisfying layers of detail to enjoy. What favourite Greggs patterns can you spot?
